Hi Everyone

I hope you enjoy the slideshow of quilts that I photographed at the Spring Quilt Show at Detling near Maidstone in Kent. I have tried to photograph quilts which were only on display at Detling, as the other quilts which are doing the national rounds have previously appeared in my blog posts and I didn’t want to be repetitious but apologies if a few have slipped in.

Whilst at the show I was part of two giveaway’s.

Firstly, I was offering a selection of Clover yo yo makers to readers of my blog who brought me their names and addresses; congratulations to Jayne Davey of Maidstone, who won the draw, your prize is on its way to you.

Secondly, in conjunction with Sew Enchanting we had another giveaway, if you made purchases from both our stands you would be entered into a separate draw. I must admit we have never done this before and only had the idea about half an hour before the show opened so we kind of made the rules up as we have gone along. Marie and I have decided that we will each pick a winner from the entries that we each received and send one of our own patterns to our own winner. The winner of the Quilting Antics draw is Margaret Brett from Chapel-le-Ferne, Folkstone and the winner of the Sew Enchanting draw is Corinne Miles from Basildon in Essex. Well done to you both!

Spring Quilt Show and Kit Car Show Detling

today has been day two of the spring quilt show and day one of the kit car show. It was incredibly quiet in the halls which was a huge surprise considering how much is going on for the whole family. Lets hope many more of you make it tomorrow as it’s really is a good day out.
Don’t forget if you do come to the quilt show you can enter my free blog giveaway; all you have to do is hand me your name and address to enter. The prize will be a selection of yoyo makers or as we prefer to call them round here Suffolk Puff makers. Hopefully I will see you tomorrow.

Arts and Crafts Block of the Month

Today we have had a fabulous first day at the Spring Quilt Show at Detling near Maidstone in Kent. Last October saw the first quilt show at Detling and as a first time show it was OK but this time there have been sooo many more visitors that I’m sure if the numbers stay up over the weekend it will become a regular feature on the annual show calendar.
It was also great to see familiar faces and it is for familiar faces that I am writing this post, namely Anne and Brenda who signed up to both our block of the month quilts and I’m pleased to say are enjoying them and finding that it is running well (except the odd little teething problem on our behalf which we have now fixed…phew!) As I promised ladies this post is a picture of the Arts and Crafts quilt so that you can see exactly what is coming next.
I hope you continue to enjoy the BOM’s
warmest wishes

Ta dah! Here are the rest of the quilts which were displayed at Westpoint, Exeter. Many of these will be on show again at Detling, Maidstone, Kent. I am lucky enough to have seen the Kent display already and there are many more local additions which are simply superb. I will snap some shots of them and post MORE quilts this week. I hope you are enjoying the shows and finding inspiration for your next project.

I also know that many of you have been waiting for details of the free give away at Detling, so here goes… to enter, bring me your name and address to stand 23, Quilting Antics; with the words “I want my YOyo’s now!” and you will be entered into the draw, the winner of which will receive a selection of Clover Yoyo makers.

Look forward to meeting as many of you as possible

It gives me great pleasure to announce that after an overwhelming number of entries into our draw the winner is Patricia Hartley from Kings Kerswell. Well done Patricia, a selection of Sewline Goodies will be in the post to you next week when I arrive home from the Quilt Show at Detling near Maidstone in Kent.

Speaking of the quilt show at Detling, it coincides with Grosvenor’s Kit Car show; an excellent opportunity to get the other half to give you a lift to the show and then occupy himself elsewhere whilst you shop til you drop at the show! And of course enter my new prize draw by bringing me your name and address. I will have a bit of a think and post more details about the prize a little later in the week

After the success of my free give away at Olympia the other week, I thought that I would repeat it again. Next weekend we will be peddling our £6 per metre fabric at The Spring Quilt Show at Westpoint in Exeter and then the following week at Detling near Maidstone in Kent. Keep an eye on my blog because I will post on here how you can enter, the rules will be different for each show, just to keep you on your toes! Last time I gave away a sewing basket with a special surprise inside, I wonder what to do next time?
