Boy oh boy, can you believe that this is Paula’s first sampler quilt? Her work is amazing she is sooo talented. Today has been the last session of the Saturday sampler group for this year so it is wonderful to see a completed quilt top. The girls have all made beautiful simple wall hangings today using scraps so that they could practice their newly learned free machining and quilting techniques; I really should have snapped more pics so that I could have showed you them. Never mind we have Sunday’s group in tomorrow so I’ll pull my finger out then.
Twiddly Tracy came in to see me this week and look what she brought with her, this lovely quilters pail. I am going to start stocking the pattern as soon as she has finished writing it, I’m really excited. It is beautiful, with a round, flat bottom, ideal for holding your bits and bobs when you are sat in front of the telly stitching and just as useful for taking to classes as it has long straps which will go over your shoulder. I best get cracking with my shop sample (any offers of help from needy friends will be gratefully received!)
Denise has been with us again teaching her, now full, beginners sampler class; today we welcomed two new students Erika and Ursula, we hope you will really enjoy being part of the gang.
Tomorrow Judith is in the shop with her intermediate group, I hope to post some pics of their work for you to enjoy. Catch you again tomorrow, Anthea aka Big Bird
