Judith Barlass has been with us today teaching the ‘big girls’. They have been doing prairie points today, looking at the different effects you can get and thinking about the maths behind them. They were working out what size their initial squares needed to be in order to fit a given size of block neatly.
I got the camera out to click the girls work so far but my battery conked out, I switched cameras but all I managed to catch were Estelle’s beautiful blocks, just look at the detail on the brown tucked one, it is like a Cadbury’s Flake! Just as scrummy. And also Jean’s almost finished quilt. Jean has been putting it together today , choosing sashings and corner stones. The quilt I’m sure you will agree is wonderful; try and zoom in and have a closer look at the techniques which Jean has used.
If you fancy learning how to make a patchwork quilt we are now taking names for courses starting in September
