Well done Diz

Dizzy duck sampler 2

Thank you to everyone who sent in their opinions the other week when I asked whether Diz should use the red or green fabric for her sashings. There were loads of votes unfortunately when we counted them up there was a 50:50 split between the two colours so, as you can see the result was a red frame with green sashing, best of both eh? I am sure you will agree with me when I say that it is divine. We have had a chat today about how it should be quilted and thought about echo quilting versus patterned and secondary patterns, all very brave for your first sampler quilt. Failing all that if Lucie the happy quilter is reading…tee hee đŸ˜‰

  1. If that quilt were mine, I would add two borders and give it a custom quilting job to make all the different blocks pop. However you might like to go the hand quilting route. Whatever you do it will be a fabulous quilt. Happy stitching.

  2. Absolutely beautiful Eileen, a fantastic first quilt. Can’t assist with how to quilt, I usually stitch in the ditch but I think this deserves something special.
