We had a really lovely day on Saturday at Quilting Antics. Firstly Judith Barlass was with us teaching her Intermediates Sampler Quilt Class, this week we had Janet, Estelle and Jean in the class. It is the first time that I have been present in one of Judith’s classes during the course so far, I have been ‘on tour’ every time Judith has been in the shop; I was ever so pleased with the standard of the class. The students have completed some stunning blocks which are quite different from the usual ones that we are used to seeing in sampler quilts. As you can see from the slideshow which includes amongst others, chenille, tucked, twin needled, ruched blocks. There are still places available in this class so it is not too late to join if you like what you see. Next time the ladies are fabric weaving. The group meets fortnightly on a Saturday.
Secondly we were visited by Davina Adams, a lovely friend I met whilst I was doing my City and Guilds and also Michaela and her mum Mave the Rave dropped in.
Last but not least, I have got Judith to agree to teach a Beginners Sampler Quilt Course in September and have even set the dates right through to June 2014! Then low and behold the day ended with a lady calling in and booking onto one of our September courses, Yay!
